Our Ringing Scheme is not only up and running but proven and accepted and is open to those registered. Below are some of the advantages. Each Closed Ring carries the following information:-
· Registration number - this is unique to member whose identity is not published. · Ring Number - which includes a suffix letter denoting ring size. · Year of issue. - rings must only be used for current year’s breedings. · AV - to denote that the bird was bred by a subscriber to the Aviornis UK Ringing Scheme and along with a Certificate of Captive Breeding gives proof of such. · Size of Ring – marked on each ring. · In the International Colour for the current year’s rings. |
